Spring is just about here and I am feeling good – how about you friends?! If you’re not feeling up to par, I have a few suggestions from the Produce Department to keep you from the doctor’s office & out enjoying picnics instead…
  • Avocados – They’re great for breakfast with eggs (or lunch with this recipe); they contain essential amino acids, antioxidants and healthy fats to balance hormones.
  • Fresh Ginger Root – This helps with sinus congestion and is good for our lungs.
  • Sage – Touted as a natural expectorant which will help calm a cough!
  • Parsnips – Peel, boil, mash as a low starch alternative to mashed potatoes.
  • Pomegranate Arils = These contain phytonutrients that promote healthier skin!

And if you’re looking for some more items that are good for you, and an even better deal this week, try:
